so, the young crown prince has gather his power through the Sungkyunkwan scholar.
As Lee Hwon wishes, the Sungkyungkwan scholar made a petition and submit it to his majesty. They kneel and bow in front of palace gate. Actually, the scholar is not afraid with the crown prince word but, for the scholar itself, they really want to know the different result of the Joseon in the future. so they started from the crown princess selection.
his majesty is smiling when he read the petition from the Sungkyungkwan scholar. He drinks tea and secretly praised Lee Hwon ideas (using the Sungkyungkwan scholar)
He said to himself that the crown prince is not really bad.
He hasn’t replied the petition but I guessed the result already.
The King held the meeting with the prime minister regarding the protest of the Sungkyungkwan scholar. Their petition is so simple, they just want to change the mechanism in select the crown princess because it is one of the important matter for the nations.

by using the gap and crack made by Lee Hwon, his majesty decided to take a part. He gonna be the person who choose the crown princess by himself and the queen dowager might be the companion during the selection. The minister who support the queen dowager surprised. his majesty give a response to the petition and dismissed the demonstrate.
Well, as it could be guess, the queen dowager is terrible mad to his majesty. She said the selection of crown princess can’t be decided by his majesty himself because it should be according to the fate and will of heaven (really ridiculous, I really dislike the queen dowager, she has killed prince Ui Seong and now she gonna plan another murder again).
I assume, his majesty also hates the queen dowager.
queen dowager facial expression is so scary after she talked with his majesty. her evil face is show up.
she really really really get extremely angry with his majesty who gonna be the solely decider in choosing the crown princess.
this means the chance of Bo Kyung to be crown princess almost no.
mean while, in Heo Residence…
Lady Shin is teaching Yeon about the etiquette when she arrives in palace later on. but, all her teaching is wrong. she did it because she wants Yeon fail in the first round.
Finally, Yeon Woo chosen as one of the three candidate.
At the night before she entered palace for the final round, Prince Yang Myung visited her. he came with his traveler bag and Yeon just asked would he goes for travel again?
he smiles he will travel again and before he left, he wants to see Yeon. Prince Yang Myung joking that he want to take Yeon run from her residence, go as far as their could (actually, he wasn’t joking about taking Yeon with him because he loves her so much and he know well, Yeon never be happy if she stays in palace) but, everything just turn to joking because he lose the courage.
Poor guy, he really so sad. when Prince Yang Myung jump out from Yeon’s place, he met Woon, his best friend.
Woon accompany him along the way from Yeon’s place to the other street. They walk and stop for while, looking at the moon.
here the final round,…
The candidate seem nervous and I think so does with Yeon. While for Bo Kyung she might feel everything gonna be Ok, since her back up are the queen dowager and her father.
Simple question is asked by his majesty. He said that he doubt on something so here the question…
“If you convert my value into money, how much do you think I value?”
The first candidate, answer hundred thousand nanyang, ten million nanyang but, finally she said, there are too much nanyang that she doesn’t know.
The second candidate is Bo Kyung, I feel no wonder if her answer is so poetical since she raised by her sycophant father who greedy of money and power. she said high as safe mountain, lenient as sea, his majesty holy. How could we use money to value? we might as well convert to gold and pearls. let’s wait for the tools that could measuring the weight of sky and depth of sea(if she wait till this tool available she should wish for doraemon to visit her place, heheheh).
the third candidate is Heo Yeon Woo (my favorite girl) her answer is startled his majesty and so do I (wkwkwkwk)
she said his majesty only value as one nanyang (the smallest amount of money)
While, Yeon Woo goes for the final round, the crown prince is so nervous and most of time missed the shot. He stop his activity when Hyun Sun running and come approaches him to make a report.
He asked with the result and (just guessing who is the winner)
Of course the winner for sure is Yeon Woo since she is smart wise young lady. No one could compete with her even Bo Kyung, Yeon Woo matchless 🙂
His majesty really wise in choosing his daughter in law, it seems the queen does like Yeon woo but the queen dowager seems want to eat her up.
the queen dowager face is so scary, well after the competition, she might busy for murder planning (*.*)

His majesty is so satisfied with his decision by taking Yeon Woo as crown princess. His majesty clear enough that his son need a wise wife to assist him from beside not a wife with powerful power, in order to be good ruler for the country, Yeon Woo is the best choice.

My other favorite character, even she loves to cry, she is one of lovely adorable girl (especially when watch high roof kick).
back to the story, she is sulk and mad with his majesty because not granted her wishes to marry Yeom. She protest by starving herself while his majesty is choosing imperial crown princess for Lee Hwon.
Well, the foolish thing that Min Hwa did in her life is seeking help from her witched grand mother. She asking help to the queen dowager to pledge to his majesty about her marriage with Yeom. Poor Min Hwa, her grand mother doesn’t love her, instead of help her, the queen dowager gives a pressure for this little girl.
Nok young feels something bad will happen. Yep, she right about that. Not long see look at sky, a news come from palace, the queen doawager asked her to enter the palace.
It is something that queen dowager want to ask her to do (yeah, another murder)
Yeon entered her new place, his majesty really like her so he gives the silver moon building (the most beautiful place in palace) for her.
When the palace maid leave her alone, suddenly Yeon felt so lonely, she cried and realized the handkerchief given by Lee Hwon through the palace maid is so useful.
She wipe her tears with the white handkerchief and found out it wrote something.
She open and read it
“are you crying and missed home, if yes, now opened the window and take a look”
she really open the window and take a look.
Yeay…
there are Lee Hwon and his loyal Eunuch, Hyun Sun.
She surprised and stop crying but at the same time, she asking the presence of Lee Hwon since he should get prohibition to come to her place. Lightly, Lee Hwon said he bribe someone and immediately she close back the window.
This such beautiful moment won’t last for long because the witched queen dowager has plan to vanish and get rid Yeon Woo from world. When I watched this scene, I couldn’t say I’m happy but I do appreciate the moment between Lee Hwon and Yeon Woo. One of it is this scene.
Lee Hwon get a special permission from his majesty to cheers Yeon because it is the first day she stays out from her residence.
He prepared something like Opera (I think it similar to wayang in Java or opera in china).

here the witched queen dowager. she asking Nok young to get rid Yeon Woo since Bo Kyung was lost on the selection as the crown princess.
The queen dowager planned was ruin by Yeon. so, now she want Nok young to help her find the way to get rid Yeon. The queen dowager can’t assassins or poison Yeon because his majesty has increased the safety and guard in yeon’s place. The only way left is using black magic so, she asked Nok young to use her power to kill Yeon.
Nok Young has resist softly queen dowager command, but she was threatened, if she doesn’t do as the queen dowager command, the star mansion (shaman residence) would be closed. Nok young remembered the last word of Ae Ri, she asked Nok young to protect both star mansion and Yeon Woo (the moon) but how could she protect everything Ae Ri ask for while one should be sacrifice.
Nok young back with pale and exhausted expression to the star mansion after meeting the queen dowager. She finally understand why Ae Ri asked her to protect Yeon because Ae Ri might has vision that Nok young gonna be the culprit.
Nok young talked to herself what should she does. She asking the help of passed away Ae ri and suddenly she get into the vision.
She is near Ae Ri tomb, suddenly it is something hanging near tree branch. it is letter writen in Chinese character (二 er = two, 人 ren = human and 工 gong = work) then the letter changed or I might say it mixed into new letter (巫 wu = witch/Shaman)
All the clue is given to Nok young now, all decision is all on Nok young hand. Whether she really want to kill Yeon and safe the star mansion or demolished star mansion and safe Yeon or she could does both of it according to Ae Ri clues
well, here is the end of episode four, Yeon has been chosen to be the crown princess but not last for long, Nok young is in dilemma (protecting star mansion or Yeon) because of queen dowager pressure.
