Another good Korean Drama which worth to watch. well, I rare watch a drama picturing about profession such as reporter or Captain or cabin-crew. My first drama which similar with Take Care Us, Captain was Good Luck (The Japanese Drama cast by Takuya Kimura). Both Drama are describing about the hard-work as cabin crew (Pilot, Flight attentdant, captain, Tower keeper and etc).
What makes me get interested to watch?
It obvious because Jin Ji Hee and Koo Hye Sun, when I saw the cast. As I know, Both Jin Ji Hee and Koo Kye Sun are two actor and actress who has played in some success drama such as Jewel in palace / Dae jang Geum, Dong Yi (Jin Ji Hee) and Boy Before Flower aka Meteor garden (Koo hye Sun).
Jewel in palace was first drama I watch starring by Jin Ji Hee and first Korean Historical drama which mesmerizing me about Korean culture. After Dae Jang Geum, I starting to like others Historical drama such as Queen Seon Deok and Dong Yi.
Not to mention, Koo Hye Sun is well-known after starring boy before flower with Lee Min Hoo.
Other things makes me want to watch this drama, because the synopsis from what I read in Wiki.
Here it is…
Han Da Jin (Koo Hye Sun) is an inspired pilot who tragically lost her mother when she was graduating from a prestigious pilot school in US and lost her father after she graduated because of car accident. She looses her faith in flying but later on she finds a reason to fly again to make her father and her younger sister proud.
Kim Yoon Sung (Jin Ji Hee) was Han Da Jin’s father studentand become a pilot under his studies. But, after he tragically causes Han Da Jin’s mother die on the flight from Korea to San Fransisco he loses faith in flying as well. During that time He become photographer, until he finds his desire to fly again and turns out to be a successful captain.
Han Da Jin and Kim Yoon Sung start to work together as captain and co-pilot, but Han Da Jin’s way to become a successful captain is not guaranteed as Kim Yoon Sung wants to teach her the basics from the start. Beside Kim Yoon Sung the other person who help Da Jin to get success is Kang Dong Soo (Lee Chun Hee), a flight tower manager.
The Cast
Kim Chang Wan as Han Kyu Pil or Da Jin’s Father. He is a senior Pilot or captain and the teacher of Kim Yoon Sung.
He also pilot the plane that flight from Korea to San Fransisco which his decision made his wife died because he insist to flight the plane to San Fransisco when his wife was in very urgent situation.
Lee Hwi Yang as Yang Mi Hye or Da Jin’s mother who died on flight from Korea to San Fransisco when she was going to attend her lovely daughter graduation ceremonial (Da Jin’s graduation)
She was pregnant Da Jin Younger Sister and because of the cre careless especially, Kim Yoon Sung and Choi Ji Won she died in the plane.
Due to the irresponsible of Choi Ji Won who was the Junior flight attendant, Da Jin’s younger sister suffer from blood poison.
The lead male actor
Jin Ji Hee as Kim Yoon Sung
He is the student of Da Jin’s father and one of person who should responsible of Da Jin’s Mother death.
As junior pilot he is too confident and proud which later on he made a mistake and the plane that flight by him got turbulence.
After the incident, he loses courage to fly but later on he became a great captain after he get back his confidence to fly again.
Lead female actress
Koo Hye Sun as Han Da Jin
She is cheerful talented young lady. she graduated from prestigious pilot school in United State.
after her mother died on the way to San Fransisco to see her graduation and followed by her father days later on in car accident.
She should work hard to raise her younger sister that sick from blood poison all by herself. She go through tough life while her aunt has much debt.
Yoo Sun as Choi Ji Won
She was a junior flight attendant when Han Da Jin’s Father was a pilot.
She is the person who should responsible for Da jin’s mother because her careless and irresponsible attitude, she caused the death of da Jin’s mother and her younger sister got infect due to unsterilized scissors. Her negligence causes Da Jin’s mother got terrible bleeding.
Actually, if she reported faster, I don’t think Da Jin’s mother would die, she take it so lightly but after she saw the blood keep on bleeding she became panic and everything was late.
Lee Chun Hee as Kang Dong Soo
a flight tower manager and a guy whom is fight with Han Da Jin on the first time Da Jin flight with Yoon Sung.
He is chaebol but act poorly so no one realized he is a rich kid.
His bad behavior is borrow 300 won to every stewardess who is buying drink through vending machine.
Well, this only short description about “Take Care of Us, Captain” and little information about the cast.
