The first impression that I got after watched its first episode, ‘Hm, it’s interesting!’. Thus I think, perhaps I should share my opinion about this drama ^-^
As it stated, this drama is comedy-romance genre, so my expectation for the drama sweetness might higher. The story is about Nam See Hee (Lee Min Ki) and Yoon Ji Ho (Jung So Min), two people who have different perspective about careers, lifestyle, relationship and even marriage.
Yoon Ji Ho who dreamt to be writer since she was young but ended up to be writer’s assistant for many years and after went through metal struggle, finally she decided to quit her job and tried to start her career as writer. Although she has worked many years as writer’s assistant, it didn’t mean her path to be writer was smooth. Moreover when she founded out her younger brother actually has married and even his wife pregnant, moreover she is someone who coming from strong patriarchal family, so when it comes about ‘asset’ she can be said as someone who owned nothing included the house she shared with her younger brother.
‘Kicked out’ from the house that she should have shared with her younger brother, Yoon Ji Ho must look for new place and this made her to encounter Nam See Hee, an expressionless man, inflexible person, stubborn, and weird. Beside Nam See Hee and Yoon Ji Ho’s story, there also story about Yoon Ji Ho’s best friend love story which also interesting too.
Such as Ho Rang who has been dating her boyfriend for seven years but there still no sign wedding bell would ring for this couple and also Woo Su Ji, Ji Ho best friend who prefer to live alone and wedding never be her life goal, but somewhat hit on stubborn man who tried his best to make her fall in love with him.
How these relationship would last for all these people? One who believe love so much, one who not even sure love does exist. While the other one just in so-so state.
My Opinion
The idea of the story isn’t something new but the way they filmed it is something so refreshing. For example, Nam See Hee as 1st male isn’t usual from other K-drama for similar types of genre (sweet-romantic-comedy). Be honest, Nam See Hee Character isn’t easy to be liked after all most of K-drama viewer would like to expect see something like cool-mature man, overbearing CEO, mellow man, etc.
But somewhat Nam See Hee, this character is so ‘unique’ that’s why he has his own charm and special attractiveness for viewer. This drama may look so slow but it has cleared point for each episodes such first thirty, first kiss, etc
Overall this is simple and yet sweet drama and you shouldn’t miss if you like to watch fluffy, sweet without mean antagonist character. Then, I like to recommend this drama.
